Big Dreams? Seem Impossible?

Do you have any dreams  or passions in life ?  Do they seem really out there, do they look like they're unattainable, do you not know where to begin ?  I do too. I have dreams and passions that actually seems scary because there's been some opposition in my life that even seem to go against them  or they almost seem impossible .  Good news though, if you have dreams and passions they were placed with in you from the creator himself !  All things are possible with Him who strengthens you.  If they seem unattainable ,far-fetched, scary then you're in the right place because God chose to do this life with you not apart from you.  If your dreams and passions aren't big enough ( downright  scary or seemingly impossible) then they probably aren't from God or part of your calling . Deep calls into deep.  He is our strength to make things possible, He helps you to fly with wings like eagles, and He chose to live inside of you to be your helper.  He equips and qualify those who even believe that they are not. He calls you chosen, holy, righteous, blameless, He has set you in high places, you are an heir to his throne.  You are all wrapped up in Him and He is all wrapped up in you; lean on Him and not on your own understanding. He loves relationship with you. Your dreams are big because it causes you to look outside of yourself alone to accomplish!  The bigger the dream the more you need Him.  You are His dwelling place, let Him guide you in all your ways and acknowledge Him.  Some people always quote a  phrase : "God will not give you more than you can handle".  That is not scriptural nor is it true.  Of course He gives us more than what we think about ourselves as being able to handle, endure or to be qualified. People get through things all the time  they never originally thought that they could. God knows us better than we do, He created and fashioned and purposed you!  God is the one who lifts us up from the miry clay and sets us up on His rock.  He is the one who  seated you in heavenly places and gave you dual citizenship while you're here on earth. He is the one who takes what seems impossible and makes them possible. He is a very jealous God who wants you to want and need Him. He wants to show you His glory through you. He loves His child. Let Him be your helper and strength.

Though I may say "my children", they are not my possession.

I have been debating sharing a recent journal entry and decided I just had too. If you have been through a divorce or started a blended family, this will be familiar yet I believe challenging when you read on. It is my hope that everyone who reads will gain and understanding and a greater capacity to love and accept, to understand that hurts also help us grow, and there is beauty in storms of life.

5/16/17 A journal could never contain all of my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. But wanted to take some time this early morning...
Yesterday was Chosen's 5th birthday and Jared's (turning 9) piano recital was also last night. I invited their father and his new wife, their "bonus mom", and their grandmother from his side also came along. We have such a large blended family, but we make it all work for the kiddos (and our own peace). I knew the children were going to be excited to see them, especially because they've been with me and my husband for the last handful of …

Blessed are the ones who believe without seeing.

Remember in John 20, when Thomas couldn't believe that Jesus had been seen after He rose from the dead and he told everyone that unless he saw His marks on Jesus's hands and put His finger in His side that He wouldn't believe?
Jesus shows up and tells Thomas to look at His hands and to put his finger on His side. Thomas knew then and Jesus responded to Him in John 20:29 " you believe because you have seen me, blessed are those who believe and have not seen".

That quote has been popping up in my mind a lot in this transition of life recently with the many struggles of a divorce, betrayals, pain and loss, moving, financial problems, raising children, and much more. I have had some days where I am having one of those conversations with the Lord that look less like faith and trust and more like "where are You, don't You see what's going on , how long must I wait?" It's been a season of seeking Him out more, asking to be more aware of His presenc…

National "Looove Day"

Yesterday of course was Valentine's Day, a national day of expressing love. It's either loved or hated by many being called a hypocritical day and a "day to waste money on junk". But it was never created to be the only day to love, just like Easter sunday isn't the only day we celebrate Christ's ressurection, or Thanksgiving isn't the only day we are thankful. It's just special that out of the busyness of the year everyone take the time to remember, honor and celabrate a little more than normal.
First how can anyone "hate" a day that is meant to show "love"? Why is it that bitterness rears it's ugly head when we are to celebrate love if we don't have a "lover"? There are so many people in the world, we are called to love everybody! This is a day to be selfless, not selfish. Instead of anticipating gifts and "i love you's" from everyone else, give "i love you's" to others, send gifts to o…
